All of us know about various home security systems such as CCTV systems alarm systems etc. All of these used to enhance the security of our home, business and properties. The main function of all security system is to notify us about any unauthorized event in the selected areas. Alarm systems are used to get this benefit effectively and efficiently. Now we will be introduced with alarm systems.
Types of Alarm Systems
According to the installation locations, alarm systems can be divided in to two categories. One is interior and another in perimeter.
Interior Alarm Systems
Interior alarm systems are used in indoor areas to protect the internal properties. Interior alarm structure is simple. There are used special sensors to get the signal of unexpected steps in protected area. The sensors are kept under the floor mats or rugs. When any step or something passes the protected areas, the sensors detect them and send the signal to the alarm system. Then alarm is played to notify the authority. To get this alarming benefit you must keep the sensor under the surround floor of any valuable property.
There are some limitations of interior alarm systems. It may give some wrong alarms when your cat or children pass the areas. The curious kids and other pets are found to do it. You can take some measures to prevent these wrong alarms by purchasing programmable alarm systems which can be programmed to detect some selected objects. If you cannot do that, just prevent them from walking on these areas.
Perimeter Alarm Systems
All of us know that, perimeter is the boundary of any protected area. One example will express it more clearly. The front gate, the windows and the doors are the perimeters of your home. Perimeters are very important point and these must be kept secured. To ensure the protection of perimeter we use special alarm devices. These alarm systems use infrared energy to detect any suspicious movement through the protected areas.
If someone tries to enter into the secured area forcefully the alarm device will detect that and the alarm will raise hell. When someone enter an authorized code or disarms the alarm then only the alarm will stop. So it is a good protection system.
There are some password protected or smart card protected gates. There needs to enter a security code to get access in the secured area. If somebody attempts to get access inside by entering wrong codes, after a certain trial there will raise the alarm to notify this unauthorized attempt.
So, the alarm system plays an important role to protect the home and properties. Every family should use alarm systems to get a secured environment.
