Green decor can really add a natural element into your room and can use big sofas or green wallpaper . It really gives you a chance to just use gender neutral colors but bring in very interesting textures. There are a lot of new materials and designs out there that can help you accomplish this.
One thing that you can consider doing is making this very popular. Usually green is pretty casual. It could also be quite rustic. You could just make it a bit glamorous. Consider going with a green satin bedspread. This could also have subtle embroidery on it. You could pile up ruffled throw pillows. This could either be an olive green if you want a Tuscan look or be more of an Apple green for a vintage kind of flair.
Another consideration is your metal color. You probably don’t think of green when you think of metal. However, copper is going to patina over time and it’s going to have subtle green tones to it. You could also mimic the same effect just with a little bit of green paint or glaze. In this case it is going to be more of a brighter turquoise and you really don’t need a lot of it to make a big impact in the room.
Another consideration is to decorate with natural plants. This could be something like a windowsill herb garden or just a few aloe vera plants. This adds a spot of color to your room but it can also be medicinal. You will need to really upgrade the kind of vases that you use. If you’re going to go for a modern kind of look then use plain white vases in a porcelain style. These can even be square. You could also play around with the idea of making these a lot more sophisticated just by going with small glass urns or stainless pots.
