Shopping for MacBook Pro Memory

When I was shopping for a new Apple notebook computer, after much consideration and comparing it to the much cheaper Apple laptop, I finally bought the 2011 Apple MacBook Pro as this Apple notebook is the fastest Apple computer to be released to date from Apple but still offers the speed, long battery life, and portability allowing me to write from anywhere my location would take me. When it came to screen sizes, I also had more options to choose from with the MacBook Pro, as the MacBook was limited to the 13 inch screen size, yet the MacBook Pro offered me a choice of screen sizes: 13 inch, 15 inch, and 17 inch models.
I decided on the 15 inch version, as this model of Apple MacBook Pro fit my budget an my notebook bag the best. I really enjoy my choice of Apple computer, but there was simple thing I did to make my MacBook Pro run even faster than when I bought it new: I added more memory.
When my MacBook Pro shipped from Apple, It came with 4GB of RAM installed, the default memory configuration for any MacBook Pro. But with this memory configuration, I found that my MacBook Pro ran slow. Applications were slow to launch, and resposne on the Apple just felt sluggish overall.
The good news is there was an opportunity to buy more ram online, install the memory myself (Apple even supplies me with memory ugprade instructions right in the MacBook Pro manual) and I double my MacBook Pro memory for under $100.
I did not buy memory from Apple, as that’s a waste of money. Apple charges too much money for RAM and I shopped for memory online, compared prices, and got a great deal on Apple MacBook memory for just $97.00.
I’m glad I made the effort to upgrade my MacBook RAM. My MBP is now the fastest Mac I have ever used thanks to the ram upgrade.
